NABARD’S Foundation Day:
On the occasion of the 41st Foundation Day celebrations, NABARD organized an “Amrit Mahotsav” at Regional Office, Guwahati where weavers, farmers and artisans displayed their products by setting up stalls from various districts of Assam which included RGVN’s Rural Mart, RGVN Grasslooms, ERI Cluster Morigaon and Darrang LEDP weavers.
NABARD which was instituted in 1982 has been at the forefront in development of the Indian Agriculture and Rural Development. Over the decades, NABARD’s efforts have been to uplift the farming and rural community through various measures and their commitment is to create a system where millions of small and marginal farmers, rural women and agriculture labourers, get their due from the institutions which are established for their betterment.
Moreover, Honourable Finance Minister Assam, Ajanta Neog was also present during the occasion and had visited all the stalls to see the products and discussed about future progress.
