A month long workshop “Design Development Training Workshop for Weavers” is being held in Dimapur, Nagaland; jointly organised by RGVN and EXIM Bank. The workshop is organised for twenty master weavers/artisans of Nagaland. The aim of the workshop is to help the weavers through existing innovative technologies interventions like design development so as to enhance the export potential of the region. RGVN had been extensively working in Nagaland for years on handloom and this workshop on design for weavers would help to scale up their production.
