SFURTI – Machkhowa Red Rice Project, Dhemaji

Construction work of Common Facility Centre (CFC) is going on at full swing for the Red Rice Project. This falls under Hard Intervention (HI) of the project which makes provisions for artisans and beneficiaries to have a common platform where products are tested, raw materials for the product are kept and the final product is prepared before it is sold in the market.

The aim and objective of the SFURTI scheme are to organize clusters for traditional industries, artisans and crafts and to develop a financially sustainable model for them. It was started with the intention to uplift the artisans working in the traditional industry and to provide them with the expertise to survive in the competitive market.
