In order to provide rice saplings to the farmers whose crops were damaged by floods in Goalpara district of Assam. The Govt. District Agriculture Officer at Goalpara engaged RGVN to develop nurseries for growing rice saplings.

With the active support of Goalpara District Agriculture Office and RGVN’s field personnel at Krishnai, three paddy nurseries were raised at three locations of Krishnai Block over a total area of 13 hectares of land. Farmers benefitted immensely from this project and praised Goalpara District Agriculture Office and RGVN for their efforts. The total project cost was Rs. 3.45 lakh.
