An exposure visit of RGVN ITC-MSK, Rampur Team was planned on to Goalpara District, to gain knowledge and exposure on animal husbandry activities that can be incorporated in the villages of Rampur and Chhaygaon blocks of Kamrup district.

The team visited various Goatery and dairy farm where they saw different type of goat varieties namely Assam hill goat, Beetal goat, Barbari goat etc. Dr. Aisha Khatun (Veterinary Doctor) explained the whole system of goat farming smoothly. She showed the team different varieties of goat that are available in their farm and the types of food they feed their goats for better profit. She also stated the importance of PPR vaccine, medicines to be given timely to protect them from all types of diseases. She also informed us about their new strategy of doing a cross breading pattern to increase the size and production, so that they can produce more income. We also got to see their diary farm where they had rearing like hybrid cow, local etc.

The experience the Team gathered will be very important and useful in implementing the targeted activities in our selected village of Rampur and Chhaygaon Blocks of Kamrup District.
