A cascade workshop on Rabi crop was conducted recently in Dhubri District. Cascade training are an efficient and cost-effective way of reaching and training staff. A group of master trainers are trained, then they train smaller groups on the same topic, and so on, until all necessary staff have been trained.

In the workshop the trainees were given knowledge on growing Rabi crops in better ways, saving the crops from effects of drought, making the soil more fertile and getting maximum benefits in minimum expenditures. It also focused on the issues of depletion of underground water, micro-nutrient deficiencies, paddy straw management, crop diversification and climate change.
