Ongoing Skill Development Programme on weaving at Ouguri Eco-Development Committee under Pobitora Wildlife Sanctaury Range, Guwahati Wildlife Division.

A day-long seminar was organized by Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Nidhi (RGVN) on 19th of August, 2017 on "CRAFTS ACTIVITY METHOD OF TEACHING" with faculty support from Shastravahini, Pune. Mr.Madhav Khare and Mrs.Suneeta Khare, who launched Shastravahini in 1986 to train teachers and students in craft activities and undertake project work, were the resource persons. This seminar was part sponsored by Miles Bronson Residential School and Delhi Alumni Association of Assam (DAAA).

Flood relief camps were organised by Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Area Level Foundations (ALFs) on 17th of August, 2017 as a part of DAY-NULM (Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihood Mission)

RGVN in collaboration with CMMU, Guwahati City, have mobilized 19 rallies across the city in different locations of 19 Wards to commemorate the celebration of Indian Independence Day on 15^th of August 2017 starting from 9:30 AM to 2:00PM. The SHGs/ ALFs of Guwahati took out the “ New India Pledge’’ rally with active participation from RGVN staff and CMMU staff, Guwahati and Guwahati Municipality Corporation led by Ms Monalisha Goswami, IAS, Commissioner , GMC and Assistant Commissioner , GMC and with active, earnest, dynamic patronage of Dr Jeevan B., IAS, SMD,ASULMS.
