Awareness Generating Meetings and Micro Planning Program in Dima Hasao (APFBC) in support with (AFD).
The Assam Project on Forest and Biodiversity Conservation (APFBC) was created by State Government of Assam as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and is supported by Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
The overall vision of the project is to contribute through the Forest Department towards the conservation and restoring of forest ecosystems in collaboration with the forest dependent communities. Also enhancing their livelihoods by ensuring sustainable use of biodiversity and making them a happier community in the process.
RGVN’s (Implementing Agency) concerned, experienced and efficient team under the project recently concluded awareness generating meetings and micro planning program in Langting Hasain II, under langting range, Dima Hasao East Division to create a road map for the development and management of forest and livelihood enhancement of the forest dependent communities with properly defined roles and responsibilities of all involved, clearly set targets and well discussed deadlines.
